Welcome to Sorell Plaza

Sorell is one of Tasmania's oldest towns and consequently, the area has a rich history....Whilst Sorell was first settled around 1808, it remained an isolated farming community until 1821 when the Town of Sorell was established.

Today Sorell is essentially a modern service town for travellers on the road between Hobart and Port Arthur.

Sorell Plaza is situated in the heart of Sorell. A neighbourhood shopping centre which is anchored by a Coles Supermarket and complemented by 13 specialty shops.

The Centre was built in 2010 and is well maintained with accessible amenities, including a fully functional parents and disability combined facility. There is ample and convenient one level parking.

Anzac Day Trading Hours

Supporting Primrose Sands Volunteer Fire Bridgade

Primrose Sands Volunteer Fire Brigade work hard for our community, with brigade members spread far and wide. Andrew recently contacted Sorell Plaza to see if we could assist with supplying several heavy-duty gear bags so distant volunteers can easily carry their structure fire turnout gear to incidents. We were more than happy to assist. Thank you to Primrose Sands Volunteer Fire Brigade for serving and protecting our community.
